Starflower mandala doily

This week I crocheted Zooty Owl's doily,

which is a coloured starflower with an amazing palet of colours.

I would not have come to the idea of mixing up all these colours myself,

but the effect is truly amazing.

So I digged in my box full of yarns and first started arranging the coulours.

This was already a satisfying job, because I did not only tidy up my yarns, I also realized how many nice colours I had collected in the past years.

I had to buy some blue though, because I have a tendency to buy far too much pinkish and purplish colours all the time...

Then I got hooked up but arriving at tour 10,

I was not so satisfied with the roundness of my doily. 

It did not become nice and round as I intended, not matter how I tried.

Therefore I crocheted tour 10-14 with my own stitches,

which worked out quite well.
